Senior UX/UI Designer

Location: Manchester (Hybrid – 3 days/week onsite)

Type: Contract (6 months +)

Overview

We are seeking two talented and passionate Senior UX/UI Designers to drive the transformation of key products. These roles are critical to elevating the customer experience and design maturity within a fast-paced digital environment. This is a high-impact, visible opportunity to shape the design direction across mobile and web platforms.

You will be embedded in a collaborative, cross-functional team working closely with Product, Tech, and a small but growing design team. You'll play a central role in delivering elegant, intuitive, and impactful design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end UX/UI design across responsive web and mobile-first platforms
• Contribute to and uplift the design system
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and interaction designs using tools like Figma, Sketch
• Conduct user research and usability testing; create testing scripts and analyse results
• Collaborate closely with developers in Agile teams, including pairing on design and implementation
• Engage confidently with stakeholders to communicate design rationale and align on business goals
• Design intuitive CMS or back-office interfaces when needed
• Work on high-priority products with real business impact
• Help evolve best practices in UX/UI, interaction design, and storytelling

What We're Looking For

Skills & Experience (All Candidates):

• Strong proficiency with Figma and/or Sketch
• End-to-end product design experience
• Experience designing within or contributing to design systems
• Strong collaboration skills; comfortable pairing with developers
• Excellent communication and visual storytelling skills
• Prototyping and interaction design experience (transitions, animations, etc.)
• Hands-on user testing experience (scripts, tools, analysis)
• Understanding of frontend frameworks (e.g., React) is a plus but not required
• Experience working in Agile environments
