Senior UX Content Designer
To further our expansion, we are recruiting a Senior UX Content Designer to play a prominent role in the UX Team, designing clear, compelling and accessible content for our award‑winning public website. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 6 years’ experience in UX design, a passion for making content sing, and a desire to embed a consistent content strategy and voice across our digital channels.
What You’ll Do
Demonstrate expertise in creating human, clear, and engaging content experiences that build trust and help users understand complex financial information.
Take responsibility for the end‑to‑end UX design process for the AJ Bell public website, shaping the wider UX design practice from ideation to delivery.
Work hand in hand with the Content team to shape our direction using UX principles to achieve our brand promise of "feel, good investing."
Collaborate closely with other UX designers within D2C to ensure seamless, accessible, and user‑centred experiences.
Understand and champion our brand language and values, translating them into content that builds consistency, credibility, and warmth across every page and journey.
Contribute to the development of content standards and patterns within our design system and Figma component library, ensuring clarity, consistency and reusability.
Write and structure content to meet WCAG standards, ensuring inclusivity for all users.
Make strategic choices about language, hierarchy and information design, balancing user needs, business goals and compliance considerations.
Partner with UX researchers to test content and tone, use data to iterate and continuously improve site performance, and make evidence‑based recommendations.
Define and track content success metrics — including engagement, readability, comprehension and conversion.
Confidently present and justify content decisions to stakeholders, articulating how your work contributes to business outcomes and user satisfaction.
Advocate for content design across AJ Bell, helping others understand the role of language in shaping user experience.
Inspire and guide junior content designers or writers, offering constructive feedback and coaching.
Take an active role in UX critique sessions, content reviews and collaborative workshops.
What You’ll Have

Deep understanding of user psychology, readability and comprehension.

Experience in mentoring or guiding junior writers.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
