Senior Underwriter - Facultative Financial Lines

This role will be Underwriting Financial Lines on a Facultative basis. The role sits within the Casualty Fac team, which covers more than just Financial Lines – the whole portfolio includes PI, FI, D&O, MedMal, GL, Auto Liability, Motor, etc – all of the longtail classes. PI is only a small amount of the book at the moment, and really should be around 20% of the whole book, hence why someone with a strong Professional Indemnity background is ideal. 9+ years minimum Underwriting experience needed in the Financial Lines space – very open to people from the direct side who have never written RI/Fac business – if someone has been involved in FAC purchasing/layers, then that will be a huge bonus too. Global presence, so can look at business all over the world – US, International, etc – however their clients are always domiciled insurers in the UK/Ireland. Preference is for someone with a PI background, although would look at MedMal and other FL classes too. Hybrid Setup – 3 days in the office a week.
