About the Role
As a Senior Transport Planner , you will play a key role in the coordination and optimisation of the companys fleet, ensuring plant and equipment is delivered safely, efficiently, and on time to various construction sites. Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and scheduling daily vehicle movements across multiple sites
Coordinating with drivers, site teams, and management to ensure smooth operations
Ensuring all routes are planned with maximum efficiency, compliance, and safety in mind
Preparing and issuing the correct paperwork and instructions for drivers
Supporting transport compliance with all UK transport legislation
Assisting with the investigation and resolution of service issues or delays
Providing guidance and support to junior team members as required
What Were Looking For
Proven experience in a Transport Planner or Senior Transport Planner role, ideally within plant hire, construction, or logistics
Excellent route planning and coordination skills, with strong attention to detail
Strong organisational and communication abilities
A proactive mindset with the ability to solve problems under pressure
A valid CPC qualification would be a strong advantage
