Senior Transport Planner - Hybrid Working - East Midlands\n Location: Leicester or Nottingham (Hybrid & Flexible Options)\n Sector: Transport Planning / Development Planning\n\nAre you an experienced Transport Planner looking to take the next step in your career? We're working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy that has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Transport Planner to join their growing team in either their Leicester or Nottingham office.\n You'll be joining a well-established Transport Planning & Engineering team, delivering high-quality work for a range of private sector clients across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.\n Key Responsibilities\n\nPrepare Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, and Travel Plans to support planning applications.\nProvide expert advice on highway and transport planning issues, including access strategies and feasibility studies.\nPrepare preliminary designs for site access and highway improvements in line with local authority requirements.\nManage multiple projects, ensuring high technical standards and timely delivery.\nCollaborate with clients, design teams, and local highway authorities to achieve the best outcomes.About You\n You'll bring a strong background in Transport Planning, with a track record of delivering development planning projects and using key industry software.\n Essential:\n\nDegree in Transport, Civil Engineering, Geography, Planning, or similar.\nProven experience in Transport Planning and development-related projects.\nProficiency with tools such as TRICS, Junctions (PICADY/ARCADY), and MS Excel.\nStrong report writing skills - experience preparing Transport Assessments and Travel Plans.\nExcellent communication and organisation skills.\nKnowledge of local and transport policy and design standards.Desirable:\n\n5+ years' experience in the industry.\nExperience with LinSig, GIS, AutoCAD, AutoTrack, or PDS Sign/Line.\nMembership of a relevant professional body (e.g. TPS, CIHT, IHE) and/or working towards chartership.\nExperience leading client relationships and contributing to Section 106 negotiations.What's on Offer\n\nCompetitive salary based on experience.\nGenerous holiday allowance (with long-service bonus).\nCompany pension scheme.\nHybrid and flexible working options.\nClear progression pathways and support for professional development and chartership.\nIf interested in this position, but perhaps would like to find out more before formally applying, please contact Taylor Smith at Calibre Search Manchester.\n\nCalibre Search promote equality in the workplace and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified candidates regardless of their , , disability, /beliefs, or .
