About the role The role of a Senior Transport Partner at Coulsdon CFC includes supporting the Customer Delivery Drivers with queries they may have. Contributing to the day to day running of the Transport Operation.
Also handling customer queries, as well as liaising with external stakeholders, other Customers and our Drivers.
As a Senior Transport Partner you will be involved in a range of tasks which may include picking branch orders accurately and within productivity targets, loading and unloading vehicles, and general cleaning of the warehouse areas.
The role will also involve admin work and working throughout the distribution centre. You will be required to follow strict Health and Safety guidelines at all times. Hours of work - 37.5 hours per week, working between 04:00 and 23:00, including weekend working.
Contract type - This is a permanent role
Key Responsibilities
- Partner deployment - Prioritise work and direct Partners appropriately to ensure all required tasks are completed.
- Support the delivery of the operational plan by acting as the task expert/specialist and supporting other Partners in their roles through coaching and mentoring
- Support effective communication between managers and Partners, between and across Transport teams & Drivers on site.
- Be motivated in seeking out opportunities to improve the operation and enhance customer service standards, supporting the implementation of any changes.
- Lead by example and guide Partners to engage in teamwork, in a manner consistent with Partnership principles and Partner Commitments.
- Provide Process training on the job to Warehouse Partners and Agency
- Provide structured feedback to management, following up on operational tasks and issues via the First Line Manager.
- Cover in the absence of the First Line Manager
Essential skills you’ll need
You will need a full valid UK manual driving licence with no more than six points and you should be 18 years old or over.
- Experience of a Customer Delivery Driver Role
- Highway Code Knowledge
- Experience in working in a Warehouse environment
