Trading Systems Engineer – Prop Trading

£200,000 Plus Bonus


Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Trading Systems Engineer to join a high profile trading firm in London.


We are looking for engineers who can be responsible for designing and supporting highly available systems across a diverse technology stack.


You will join a small global team who are focused on a new part of the business around trading various assets – it is therefore paramount to have good communication as you will in a close working environment virtually across the globe.


The Systems Engineer Engineer will be providing consistent, high performing, stable infrastructure for trading desks, developers, and other internal teams You should take pride in enabling traders and engineers to run their applications at the bleeding edge.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience supporting mission critical systems and high performance applications
  • Minimum of 5 years working in trade support, site reliability engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field
  • Familiarity with trading platforms and financial markets
  • Thrives in high-pressure situations while working alongside traders, developers and other engineering teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues under pressure
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automation tasks
  • Ability to devise complex SQL database queries and updates
  • Basic networking knowledge, including multicast, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and common network troubleshooting tools
