The Senior Technician position at the Sands Centre is a vital and dynamic role that supports the successful delivery of a wide range of events through technicalexpertiseand precision.

As a Senior Technician at the Sands Centre, you will be at the core of ouroperations, ensuring all technical elements are set up,operated, andmaintainedto the highest standards In this role, you will take responsibility for overseeing technical systems, coordinating equipment and resources, and supporting technical teams to ensure the seamless execution of concerts, shows, and events.

The Senior Technician plays a key role in troubleshooting,maintainingsafety standards, and delivering high-quality production experiences.

Whatyoulldo: Facilitate the needs of incoming productions during their visit to our venue, ensuring that the production is ready for Show Time.

Lead the loadin, showrunningand load out of productions, acting as the venuerepresentativefor our technical department and taking the lead with both local and touring crew toguarantee a successful operationin line with the venuesafetyprocedures.

Lead a team of local crew and help with the day-to-day operations of the technical departmentincluding maintenance tasks,trainingandcrew development.

Operate sound and/orlightsfor touring and in-house productions, including our Pantomime.

Undertakeindustry relevant training coursesas part ofcontinuousprofessional development.

What you need: Experiencemanaging teamsin a fast-paced environment.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Experience in the set up and operation of sound and/or lightinglightingequipment.

Knowledge of thesystems and technology used in live production and theatre.

Strongproblem-solving skills.

Ability tomaintaincomposure and productivity under tight deadlines.
