The Role We're looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale, strategic technology programmes. This role goes beyond traditional project delivery - you'll be responsible for shaping and driving complex programmes across AI, data, cloud, and platform transformation. You'll play a key role in advancing AI adoption across the organisation, including initiatives such as customer-facing chatbots, smart assistants, and emerging agentic AI solutions. Working closely with senior stakeholders, technical teams, and business units, you'll act as the bridge between strategy and execution - ensuring successful, end-to-end delivery. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end delivery of complex programmes across multiple workstreams Own and drive overall programme plans, delegating to Project Leads where appropriate Manage and develop a team (circa 7-10 across PMs, Leads, and BAs) Engage and influence stakeholders across both business and technology Work closely with architecture, engineering, and infrastructure teams on solution delivery Drive AI adoption and support the rollout of innovative digital solutions Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment balancing BAU and transformation initiatives What We're Looking For Proven experience delivering large-scale programmes (not just projects) end-to-end Strong background in technology-driven environments (data, cloud, digital, platforms) Solid understanding of Agile, SAFe, or Scrum methodologies Experience managing and developing teams Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills Ability to operate in ambiguity and bring structure to evolving environments Desirable Exposure to AI-related projects or initiatives Financial services experience Consultancy or client-facing delivery background The Person Resilient, proactive, and delivery-focused Comfortable challenging and influencing senior stakeholders Strong leadership capability with the ability to take ownership of both team and programme Commercially aware with a focus on outcomes What's on Offer Competitive salary Bonus Car allowance (or cash equivalent) Hybrid working model - Belfast office Opportunity to play a key role in a major transformation programme To speak in absolute confidence about this opportunity please contact Rachael Walker, IT Recruitment Manager at MCS Group or click the apply button below.
