Senior Technical Business Analyst (Technical Delivery)
Hybrid – Leeds / Newcastle / Birmingham
12 Month Contract
About the role
We are hiring a Senior Technical Business Analyst to support engineering and platform teams within a large digital transformation environment.
This is a technical delivery BA role, not a traditional business-facing BA position. You will work directly with engineers, architects and DevOps teams helping shape technical initiatives into delivery ready work.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in modern engineering environments and understands how software teams operate.
Key responsibilities
You will be helping engineering teams move from technical ideas into structured delivery.
This includes:
Working day-to-day with software engineers and technical teams Converting technical epics into clear user stories Refining technical backlogs Supporting discovery and proof of concept work Identifying risks and dependencies Supporting Agile delivery Defining non-functional requirements Bridging communication between technical and business teams Providing clarification during build and testing
Required experience
We are particularly interested in candidates who have:
Recent Technical Business Analyst experience Experience working directly with software developers Strong Agile experience (Scrum or Kanban) Experience writing technical user stories Experience refining engineering backlogs Experience working in technical delivery environments
Technical exposure required
You should have exposure to several of the following:
Cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) APIs or microservices DevOps environments CI/CD pipelines Docker or Kubernetes Jira / Confluence Non-functional requirements
You do not need to code, but must understand how engineering teams work.
