The team values steady delivery, dependable technical expertise and a collaborative approach.\n\n The Role\n\nThe consultancy is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer who enjoys hands on design and supporting junior colleagues. This position would best suit an experienced individual who enjoys steady, focused work and flexibility, and is comfortable contributing as a long-term specialist as opposed to seeking progression to a managerial position.\n\n Key Responsibilities \nProduce structural calculations, designs and drawings for buildings and civil structures \nPrepare reports, design notes, specifications and supporting documents \nCoordinate with architects, contractors, clients and internal engineers \nCarry out site inspections and surveys where required \nProvide informal guidance and design checking for junior engineers and technicians \nEnsure all work aligns with UK standards and regulatory requirements \nManage individual project tasks and maintain accurate documentation About the Candidate \nDegree in Structural or Civil Engineering \nIdeally 8+ years of relevant structural design experience \nCompetent in steel, concrete, masonry and timber \nFamiliar with structural analysis software and common CAD tools \nStrong working knowledge of UK design standards and Building Regs \nReliable, detail focused and comfortable working independently \nSupportive team member who is thrives mentoring junior engineers towards reaching their full potential Benefits \nSalary circa £50,000 depending on experience \nPart time and flexible working options available \nVaried project workload \nSupportive team environment focused on practical engineering \nBenefits package
