Job Description

Astute's Nuclear Team is partnering with an international design consultancy who are looking to recruit a Senior Structural Engineer to join their busy established team in the heart of Birmingham, in a newly refurbished office. \n\nThe strategically important Senior Structural Engineer role comes with a salary of up to £60,000, a competitive company pension, flexible working, the opportunity to work abroad and a market leading bonus scheme.\n\nIf you're an experienced Structural Engineer, that has a proven background working on complex building structures, which could be Nuclear, Train Stations or Hospitals, and you are looking for a change, hit apply with your most up to date CV today.\n\nResponsibilities and duties of the Senior Structural Engineer role \n\nReporting to the Team Leader you will:\n\nPerform design duties on and international design schemes\nOversee junior members of staff as and when is needed\nComplete site visits as and when is needed\nKeep track of the project and be able to report back to management as to how things are progressing\nReport into management of future business leads \n\nProfessional qualifications \n\nWe are looking for someone with the following:\n\nIdeally between 5-8 years' experience as a Structural Engineer\nExperience designing complex structures, which could be nuclear, rail infrastructure, buildings \nChartered with the ICE or IStructE is desirable\nDesign experience with both Reinforced Concrete and Steel\n\nPersonal skills \n\nThe Senior Structural Engineer role would suit someone who is:\n\nAn established leader, or keen to grow into the role\nA team player but also able to work independently to time constraints\nAdaptable to change\nKeen to learn other sectors as and when needed (possibility of secondment to other discipline sectors) \n\nSalary and benefits of the Senior Structural Engineer role \n\nUp to £60,000 dependant on experience\nFlexible, hybrid working\nCompany matched pension\nPerformance bonus, based on the business and individual performance\nAbility to work remotely from abroad\n\n INDNUC\n\nAstute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
