Senior Structural Engineer

Location: Kent

Salary: £55,000

Our client is a well-established and respected multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy known for delivering integrated, sustainable solutions across the built environment. With a strong presence throughout the UK, they are dedicated to creating a workplace that fosters collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

Act as technical lead on structural engineering projects, ensuring quality, compliance, and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

Manage and coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams and external stakeholders to deliver integrated and innovative solutions.

Undertake structural assessments and inspections of new and existing buildings in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.

Carry out structural analysis and design using industry software such as Tekla Structural Designer and Fastrak Building Designer.

Prepare high-quality technical reports, including structural surveys and condition assessments.

Oversee the delivery of design outputs including calculations, specifications, and construction drawings.

Mentor junior engineers, fostering technical development and knowledge sharing across the team.

About You

Essential:

Degree-qualified in Structural or Civil Engineering (BEng/MEng or equivalent).

Chartered or working towards Chartered status (MICE or MIStructE).

Proven experience delivering structural designs across a variety of building types and construction methods.

Strong working knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards, and relevant building regulations.

Proficient in structural analysis and design software.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Capable of managing multiple projects and working to deadlines
