Category: Legal Hours per week: 26 (up to 32 hours possible) Location: Runnymede Civic Centre, Station Road, Addlestone, Surrey, KT152AH Pay: £35.53 per hour (umbrella rates £51–£54.45 per hour for suitable candidates) Working pattern: Up to 3 days remote per week; 2 days in office if full-time; at least 1 day in office if part-time

Main Purpose Qualified solicitor role; must hold a current practising certificate and SRA number. Provide advice and drafting for commercial property matters, including wayleaves, easements, leases, lease renewals, management work, disposal, open spaces, community assets, and certain housing matters. Issue First Homes Scheme certifications and draft legal implications for committee reports. Mentor and support junior team members. Reporting & Relationships Reports to: Interim Deputy Corporate Head of Law & Governance Works closely with: Principal Property Solicitor; Legal Assistant; staff at all levels, members, residents, private solicitors, barristers, judiciary and other public and private bodies. Key Responsibilities

Carry a caseload of legal work independently/minimally supervised within the specialist area. Complete all tasks in line with good legal practice and client service standards. Manage relationships with external legal advisors and instruct counsel when appropriate. Assist counsel in presenting cases in court as necessary. Perform tasks directed by the Interim Deputy Corporate Head of Law and Governance. Contribute to continual service improvement and utilize case management systems effectively. Draft reports for members and committees and attend meetings during office hours. Attend office in Addlestone at least twice a week, including monthly team meetings on Tuesdays. Comply with organisational policies and procedures.
