Agile Working Options Job Share; Hybrid Working Job description JOB TITLE: Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) SALARY: £72,702-£88,858 LOCATION(S): Edinburgh HOURS: Full-time WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites. Writing modular, well‑tested full stack applications that stay easy to maintain as our codebase and business scale. Your work has a big impact—it helps ensure our platform stays reliable and manageable, even as we grow. Ensuring our software aligns with existing frameworks, patterns, and practices across the broader engineering community, it really enhances consistency and efficiency. A proactive approach and ability to independently start projects, working successfully with multi‑disciplinary, internal, and external distributed teams across the project lifecycle. Deep understanding of Node JS, React Typescript, and responsive web design. Preferably with reusable components as used by React. Along with your knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services. Strong understanding of source code repositories and change management tools like Git. Knowledge of agile development practices and test automation, especially using tools such as Jest, Cucumber and Playwright. Strong knowledge of build processes and release automation, including using DevOps Pipelines, Nexus, SonarQube, and AquaSec. Experience working with Private/Public Cloud (GCP, Azure, and OpenShift) really stands out. Strong grasp of the software development life‑cycle, from inception through build to production. Trust yourself when sharing your opinions. Your ability to balance conviction with flexibility makes your input powerful.
