Job Title: Senior Social Worker in Neuro-Rehabilitation Unit Hospital Team
Job Location: Wandsworth, UK
Salary: £46,206 to £55,992 Annually
We are searching for a dynamic and skilled Senior Social Worker to join our innovative Neuro-Rehabilitation Unit Hospital Team in the vibrant area of Wandsworth. This full-time position offers a compelling opportunity to contribute to the lives of children and families facing complex challenges. With a strong commitment to professional development and support, our team provides an enriching environment where your expertise will make a profound impact.
Perks and benefits:
In return for your dedication, you will enjoy working arrangements that prioritise your work-life balance while benefiting from a generous holiday allowance of 31 days plus bank holidays. We also provide essential parking facilities for staff engaged in direct work with children and families. During the COVID pandemic, parking restrictions, permits, and fees have been temporarily waived for all frontline staff, illustrating our unwavering support for your vital work.
In addition, you'll gain access to various exceptional staff perks such as membership in the Local Government contributory pension scheme, childcare vouchers, and a new technology scheme. Enjoy interest-free loans on annual travel cards, as well as discounts at numerous leisure activities, restaurants, shops, and other establishments. A wide range of developmental opportunities helps to keep your career exciting and rewarding, and we pride ourselves on offering a supportive and vibrant work environment.
What you will do:
- Deliver a high-quality and responsive social work service, serving as the lead professional in statutory cases, including child protection, care proceedings, and looked-after children.
- Manage a diverse caseload, potentially involving multi-agency child protection plans and complex family issues such as domestic violence and substance abuse.
- Collaborate with allied health and social care practitioners, coordinating the multi-disciplinary team around the child to ensure comprehensive safeguarding, assessment, planning, implementation, and review.
- Focus on achieving the best outcomes for children in need and their families, ensuring they receive the highest standards of care.
- Maintain strong communication and accountability, working to understand and meet the needs of service users and residents.
To thrive in this role, you will need a relevant social work qualification and Social Work England membership. Experience working across both voluntary and statutory agencies is essential, as is proficiency in APIR (Assessment, Planning, Implementation, and Review). Strong applied knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance is fundamental to the role. If you possess these attributes and a 'can-do' attitude, we would love to hear from you.
Wandsworth is a wonderful place to live and work, offering a rich cultural scene, excellent transport links, and a lively community spirit. By joining us in this dynamic location, you'll find a blend of opportunities to advance your career while enjoying everything this vibrant area has to offer.
