Wynyard (HQ) | On-site| On-call rota At Communicate Technology, we’re continuing to grow our Cyber Security capability and we’re looking for a Senior SOC Analyst to join our team at our HQ in Wynyard. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced SOC environment and wants to play a key role in handling complex security incidents, shaping detection capability and supporting clients during critical events. What you’ll be doing: As a Tier 2 / Senior SOC Analyst, you’ll take ownership of escalated incidents and lead from the front:
Investigating and responding to complex security incidents Performing deep-dive analysis and identifying root causes Leading containment, eradication and recovery actions Working directly with clients during live incidents Tuning detection tools to improve accuracy and reduce noise Supporting and mentoring Tier 1 analysts Contributing to playbooks, automation and continuous SOC improvement
What we’re looking for: We’re after someone technically strong, proactive and confident working in high-pressure situations:
Proven experience in a SOC or security operations environment Strong knowledge of cyber threats, attack techniques and defence strategies Hands‑on experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR and security tooling Solid networking and firewall knowledge Fortinet experience is essential for this role Ability to investigate, analyse and respond to incidents independently Strong communication skills—able to translate technical detail for clients
