Senior Site Manager

We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Site Manager to take full responsibility for delivering a £6.5m public sector construction scheme near Bristol.

The role is with a highly respected regional main contractor, recognised for delivering high-quality refurbishment, conservation, and new build projects across sectors including public sector, heritage, education, and commercial. The business has a strong reputation for craftsmanship, attention to detail, and successfully delivering complex schemes in live and sensitive environments.

The Role

As Senior Site Manager, you will operate as the No.1 on site, taking full ownership of the project from day-to-day delivery through to completion.

This is a stand-alone role, requiring someone confident managing all aspects of the build, including programme, subcontractors, quality, and health & safety.

Key Responsibilities

Full site management of a £6.5m public sector project

Oversee all construction activities from start to completion

Manage subcontractors, labour, and site teams

Ensure works are delivered on programme and within budget

Maintain high standards of health & safety compliance

Drive quality and ensure works meet required specifications

Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders

Manage site documentation, reporting, and coordination

Requirements

Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager / Site Manager

Experience delivering public sector or similar projects

Ability to run projects independently (No.1 on site)

Strong leadership and organisational skills

Essential:

SMSTS

CSCS Card (Manager level preferred)
