Senior Site Chemist – Waste Management

Location: Birmingham, UK

Salary: Up to £36,000 DOE

Hours: Monday to Friday – 8:00am–5:00pm or 7:00am–4:00pm

We are recruiting for a Senior Site Chemist to join a well-established waste management business based in Birmingham. This is a hands-on operational role requiring strong technical knowledge and experience within regulated waste environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with site permits and waste acceptance criteria
• Oversee safe operation of site processes and waste handling activities
• Monitor quality and regulatory compliance
• Complete non-conformance reports and invoicing accurately and on time
• Maintain full traceability of waste and documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field
• Experience as a Site Chemist, Laboratory Analyst, or similar
• Strong lab practice and H&S knowledge
• Experience in the waste management industry
• Forklift licence desirable but not essential
