Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker

Location: Radcliffe, M26
Salary: £32,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time (including sleep-ins – non-contractual)

We are currently recruiting a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker to join a passionate and dedicated team at a new 3-bed residential service in Radcliffe. The service supports mixed-gender young people aged 10–17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). There are currently 2 young people placed in the home.

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable young people through their challenges, providing stability, guidance, and positive role modelling to help them achieve better outcomes in life.

Key Responsibilities

* Support and safeguard children and young people in line with care plans

* Act as a role model and provide leadership to the staff team on shift

* Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

* Maintain professional boundaries and uphold safeguarding standards

* Contribute to a safe, nurturing, and structured home environment

Requirements

* Previous experience as a Senior Residential Support Worker or Team Leader

* A genuine passion for working with children and young people

* Strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries

* Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards)

* Must be aged 22 or over (to meet Ofsted regulations)

* Full UK driving licence
