Senior Residential Support Worker - Children's Residential Care

Location: Blaenau Gwent Salary: £37,000 per annum Hours: 2 on / 4 off shift pattern Contract: Full-time, permanent

We are looking for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join a 4-bedded children's residential home supporting three young people with primarily emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

This role is ideal for someone confident leading shifts, acting as a positive role model, and ensuring the home runs safely, smoothly and in line with care/pathway plans.

About the Role

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will contribute to the day-to-day running of the home and support young people to achieve positive outcomes. Responsibilities include: Providing care in line with the home's Statement of Purpose and individual care/pathway plans Delivering day-to-day support including meal preparation, supervision of activities, household tasks and promoting the ethos of the home Taking on key worker responsibilities, maintaining detailed records, and liaising with families and professionals Leading shifts, allocating tasks, and ensuring staff understand responsibilities and expectations Supporting new staff through mentoring and helping maintain a positive working environment
