* Location: Children’s Residential Home Tameside, Greater Manchester

* Experience Preferred: NVQ Level 3 or 4 Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent; minimum 2 years’ experience supporting young people in a children’s residential setting. Full UK manual driving licence (essential).

* Role Overview: Assist the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager in ensuring the highest standards of care for children aged 0-16 with complex backgrounds, challenging behaviour, and emotional behavioural difficulties (EBD), using a systemic therapeutic approach. Responsibilities include implementing care plans, supervising staff, conducting risk assessments, monitoring policies, and ensuring compliance with organisational and regulatory standards (e.g., data protection, human rights). Act as a key worker, addressing young people’s medical, practical, and emotional needs. Support team development, chair meetings on a rotational basis, and manage allocated budgets.
