We are seeking a Senior Research Chemist to join our Fuels Specialties team, based at our Ellesmere Port laboratory facility . This is a high impact role where your independence, creativity and leadership will drive the next generation of fuel additives.
Role Responsibilities
Lead and execute research projects from concept to delivery Design and conduct experiments, synthesise and test new molecules and interpret complex data to deliver project goals Stay ahead of industry trends by reviewing scientific literature and patents to inform your approach Collaborate across teams while owning your own work Communicate progress and results clearly to stakeholders, influencing decisions and driving momentum Apply advanced research tools and methodologies to accelerate development timelines
Requirements
Qualified to Degree (or higher) in Chemistry or related scientific discipline with solid industrial R&D experience Proven ability to work independently in a research environment Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Experience in leading or mentoring others in a technical setting Excellent communication and presentation skills A proactive mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
