Senior Regulation Lead

Location: London or Glasgow (Hybrid)

Are you passionate about influencing the future of clean energy through regulation and policy strategy? We’re hiring a Senior Regulation Lead to join a mission-driven energy organisation expanding its footprint across Great Britain and Ireland.

In this influential role, you’ll act as a bridge between regulatory bodies, internal teams, and the evolving landscape of energy transition policies - helping shape the frameworks that enable large-scale renewable development and grid transformation.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead regulatory insight and engagement efforts across UK and Irish energy markets
• Track key developments in system planning, offshore transmission, and market reforms, translating them into business strategy
• Represent the company in policy forums and working groups, advocating for progressive and commercially viable regulatory approaches
• Provide strategic input on network access, charging frameworks, and planning processes that support infrastructure investment
• Evaluate how rule changes and auction design impact commercial strategy, from contracts and tariffs to emerging support schemes
• Build relationships with policy-makers, regulators, and industry partners, acting as a knowledgeable and trusted voice

What we’re looking for:

• A background in regulatory affairs, policy, or commercial strategy
• Solid understanding of GB and SEM energy regulation, planning regimes, and market design
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience in policy consultation or advocacy
• Analytical and strategic mindset, comfortable navigating technical and policy complexity
