Senior Quantity Surveyor – Residential / Mixed-Use Development

Location: West London

Salter Grange is working with a leading residential developer to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the Commercial team across major, high-quality developments. This is a senior role offering real ownership across procurement, cost control, trade management, and aftercare delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of multiple trade packages post-contract, ensuring accurate cost control and reporting
• Manage procurement of designated packages in line with the construction programme and IRS
• Identify and analyse commercial risks, advising on mitigation strategies
• Prepare cost plans, bills of quantities, CVRs, cashflows, and monthly cost reports
• Manage tender processes, including preparation, analysis, and contract documentation
• Advise on contractual claims and general contract administration
• Value completed works and prepare subcontractor payments for approval
• Track approvals in line with company limits of authority
• Support value engineering and cost optimisation initiatives
• Manage and support Quantity Surveyors at various levels through the procurement process
• Oversee aftercare teams across multiple developments, ensuring excellent customer care and reactive maintenance processes
• Maintain strong awareness of Health & Safety regulations and Gateway 2 requirements

Requirements

• BTEC in Building Studies / Building Engineering / Building Management or HNC, HND, or Degree in Quantity Surveying
• Experience of working on high rise, RC Frame residential projects
• Proven experience managing trade contractors and complex procurement packages
