Our client, a well-established regional contractor based in the North West, is looking to appoint an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a £10 million industrial unit development.

Working as part of a professional site and commercial team, you will play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of the project from procurement through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial management of a £10m industrial unit project
• Subcontract procurement and package management
• Preparation of valuations, variations, and cost reports
• Monitoring project budgets and forecasting
• Contract administration under JCT forms of contract
• Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
• Supporting the project to ensure delivery within commercial targets

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on industrial or commercial construction projects
• Experience on projects typically £5m–£10m
• Strong working knowledge of JCT contracts
• Experience managing subcontract procurement and commercial reporting
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
