Salary: Up to £95,000 basic + full package (car allowance, travel allowance, bonus, healthcare, pension)

Outstanding opportunities have arisen for experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors to join leading Tier 1 main contractors and developers delivering a series of high-rise, design-led residential projects redefining modern living across East, West, South and North London.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, you’ll lead all aspects of cost management, procurement, and contract administration across major work packages.


You’ll take a hands-on approach to ensuring commercial performance, value delivery, and cost efficiency, while driving best practice and mentoring junior team members within a collaborative, high-performing environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the commercial performance of large-scale project packages.
  • Lead procurement, tendering, subcontractor management, and contract administration.
  • Manage valuations, variations, and cost/value reconciliations (CVRs).
  • Produce accurate financial forecasts and support commercial reporting.
  • Drive value engineering and cost-optimisation initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with project, design, and technical teams to achieve programme, quality, and budget objectives.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the commercial team.


About You

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 7+ years’ experience on large-scale residential or mixed-use projects.
  • Proven background in RC frame and residential construction.
  • Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management ability.
  • Proficient in Excel and cost management systems.
  • Driven, detail-focused, and motivated by long-term project success.
