Known for its collaborative culture and strong client relationships, the company offers a stable pipeline of work through established frameworks and repeat business.The RoleDue to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team based in Manchester.This role will involve managing the commercial aspects of multiple projects, with a focus on design and build refurbishment schemes across blue light and commercial sectors, with project values up to £15 million. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered profitably while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and the wider project team.As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:Managing the commercial delivery of construction projects from pre-construction through to final accountPreparing and reviewing cost plans, budgets, and forecastsProcurement and management of subcontract packagesPreparing valuations, variations, and final accountsMonitoring project costs and ensuring financial targets are achievedManaging risk and identifying commercial opportunitiesLiaising closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractorsSupporting and mentoring junior commercial team members where requiredThe Ideal CandidateThe successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will have strong experience working for a main contractor on refurbishment and design & build projects within the commercial or public sector.The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will have:Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with a main contractorExperience delivering blue light, public sector, or commercial construction projectsStrong knowledge of design and build refurbishment projectsExperience working on projects up to £15 million in valueStrong commercial awareness and contract administration skillsExcellent negotiation and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and stakeholdersRelevant construction qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) preferredWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary of £55,000 - £70,000Car allowance or company carPerformance-related bonusPension schemePrivate healthcareStrong pipeline of secured projectsOpportunities for career progression within a growing contractorApply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.Building Careers UK specialises in Construction and Property recruitment and serves as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
