Senior Quantity Surveyor - Wetherby
You'll work directly with directors, estimators, site teams and the supply chain, taking full commercial ownership of several live projects from pre-contract through to final account.

The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial performance of multiple projects and act as a key commercial lead within the business.
You will:

  • Lead the commercial management of several projects simultaneously
  • Be heavily involved in pre-construction, procurement and contract setup
  • Produce and manage CVRs, cashflow forecasts, valuations and final accounts
  • Work closely with estimating teams during tenders
  • Deliver accurate monthly commercial reporting
  • Drive best practice and continuous improvement
  • Line manage and develop an Assistant Quantity Surveyor
  • This role offers real autonomy, genuine influence and direct access to the leadership team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Attending scope, pre-start and client meetings
  • Liaising with clients, consultants and internal teams
  • Preparing subcontractor enquiries and undertaking cost comparisons
  • Procuring and placing subcontractor packages
  • Managing subcontractor valuations and payments
  • Producing budgets, bills of quantities and cost plans
  • Managing client valuations, variations and final accounts
  • Cashflow forecasting and CVR setup and management
  • Running multiple projects concurrently


About You

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main or principal contractor
  • Strong track record managing CVRs, procurement and cashflow
  • Commercially astute with solid contractual knowledge
  • Confident communicator with a practical, solutions-led approach
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on SME environment
