Senior Quantity Surveyor – Industrial Projects\n\nUp to £80,000 + Benefits\nLocation: Midlands\n\nA well-established main contractor delivering major industrial, logistics, and large-scale commercial schemes is looking to appoint a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced project environments and enjoys taking commercial ownership across complex new-build industrial developments.\n\nThe Role\nReporting to the Commercial Lead, you’ll be responsible for driving the financial and contractual performance of key industrial projects from pre-construction through to handover. You’ll work closely with project managers, planners, design teams, and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost control and successful commercial outcomes.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Lead commercial management on industrial/logistics projects from tender award through to completion.\n\n * \n\n Prepare and manage valuations, cost forecasting, applications for payment, and final accounts.\n\n * \n\n Manage procurement processes including tender packages, subcontractor negotiation, and contract administration.\n\n * \n\n Assess variations, risks, and opportunities, ensuring robust commercial protection for the business.\n\n * \n\n Provide accurate commercial reporting and support senior management with financial insight.\n\n * \n\n Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and wider delivery teams.\n\nAbout You\n\n * \n\n Strong background as a Quantity Surveyor within industrial, logistics, distribution centres, or large steel-frame new build environments.\n\n * \n\n Excellent understanding of NEC or JCT contract forms.\n\n * \n\n Confident in leading commercial strategy and mentoring junior team members when required.\n\n * \n\n Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.\n\n * \n\n Relevant construction or commercial qualification (HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent experience).\n\nWhat’s On Offer\n\n * \n\n Salary up to £80,000, depending on experience.\n\n * \n\n Benefits package including pension and career-development support.\n\n * \n\n Exposure to major industrial schemes with a contractor known for delivering high-quality, fast-paced projects.\n\n * \n\n Hybrid working within a flexible regional office setup, alongside regular site visits.\n\nHow to Apply\nSubmit your CV to be considered for this role and to find out more about upcoming industrial opportunities
