Our team is committed to professionalism, safety, and consistent delivery standards.As we continue to expand and achieve new milestones, were thrilled to create fresh opportunities within our team, starting with the highly anticipated Senior Quantity Surveyor position for the South region.Senior Quantity Surveyor - Role OverviewYoull be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tender submissions for projects ranging from £50,000 to £2 million.Your estimates will draw on thorough knowledge of refurbishment, construction, and maintenance scopes across our sectors, including custodial, education, commercial, and residential works. This role is for someone living within the South and surrounding areas.Senior Quantity Surveyor - Key ResponsibilitiesProvide contractual advice to the business and the project team, informing appropriate management of contractual issues and ensure the delivery team understand the contractual conditionsDay-to-day contract and commercial management including managing communication and notifications to timescales, payment assessment, managing and valuing change and early warnings and review of claims to and from Sanper ConstructionCost planning, budget estimating, review and challenge contractor estimates, feedback into benchmarking and lessons learntMonitor actual costs against budget and prepare contract forecasts, identification of commercial risks and opportunitiesLead on regular cost and contract audits to ensure contractor compliance with contract conditionsManage own portfolio of works including generally the larger & more complex projectsLead on all commercial matters in meetings and collaborative planning sessionsEnsure all commercial and contractual issues are resolved and dealt with in a timely mannerManage relationships with the supply chain and work on growing the supply chainReview completed designs for Commercial and Contractual complianceAssist other departments as and when requiredAccurate reporting of job CVR positions to Commercial ManagerSenior Quantity Surveyor - Person SpecificationEssentialA minimum of five years UK-based experience in the construction sectorKnowledge of UK building regulations and industry standardsExperience of using different forms of contract (NEC3 & NEC4 Option A and JCT 2016 preferable)Strong organisational skills and attention to detailEffective communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work safely and proactively in a site environmentCompetent IT skills (e.g., MS Office, project management tools)UK Rights to Work documentationProven experience estimating for refurbishment and general construction projects (tenders between £50K-£2M)RICS, BSc, BEng or CIOB qualificationStrong numerical, analytical, and attention-to-detail skillsFull UK driving licenceStrong Communication skills upstream and downstreamExcellent time management skillsHold a CSCS cardWillingness to travelSenior Quantity Surveyor - DesirableThorough understanding of Sanpers sector mix (custodial, education, commercial, residential, maintenance)Benefits and CompensationCompetitive salaryPension schemeSupportive, collaborative working environmentBonus SchemeEquality, Diversity and InclusionWe believe that diversity makes us stronger and that everyone deserves to feel respected, valued and able to thrive.We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and are committed to a fair and inclusive recruitment process in line with the Equality Act 2010.We are happy to make reasonable adjustments to support applicants with disabilities at any stage.JBRP1_UKTJ
