Senior Quantity Surveyor

A full -time opportunity exists for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage a team of Quantity Surveyors on an iconic civil engineering project in northern Wales.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, your duties will include -

Proactively contribute to the commercial success of the project and thus the business

Prepare applications and reports

Review incoming accounts and correspondence and react accordingly

Manage specified subcontract accounts and support senior commercial staff in negotiations

Agree a personal development plan and deliver the objectives

Contribute to the development of subordinates

Requirements for this post include

BSc Quantity Surveying or similar, RICS member

Extensive experience working for tier one UK Contractors on civil engineering projects using NEC

Proven experience managing a team of Quantity Surveyors delivering the commercials on a large project

Willing to take personal responsibility for delivering services

Able to work together with colleagues and customers and take the time to build effective and rational working relationships.

Effective in building relationships with customers, stakeholders, colleagues and partners
