Senior Quantity Surveyor

New Today

Project Quantity Surveyor / Project Lead
Location: Waterloo, London (Office-based with site visits) Start Date: Immediate
The Role
We are looking for a proactive, high-energy Senior / Project Quantity Surveyor who does more than just "count the costs." We need a driver-someone who can take a project by the horns, manage design teams, and ensure delivery from inception to completion.
You won't just be sitting behind a spreadsheet; you'll be leading client meetings, managing the tender process, and navigating the nuances of JCT contracts. This role is perfect for a professional with 5+ years of experience who thrives in the £1m-£15m project bracket and wants to be a pivotal part of a growing team.
What You'll Be Doing
Procurement Lead: Managing the procurement of both Main Contractors and specialist Design Teams.
Project Driving: Taking an active role in "project managing" your schemes to ensure momentum.
Tender Management: Running the end-to-end tender process to appoint reliable contractors.
Contract Administration: Applying a deep, practical knowledge of JCT contracts.
Meeting Leadership: Confidently leading both design team and client-facing meetings.
Your Profile
Experience: 5+ years in a similar role within the UK market. (Overseas experience is welcome, but your primary expertise must be UK-based).
Project Scale: You feel at home managing projects in the £1m to £15m range. If your career has mostly been spent on £50m+ mega-projects, this likely isn't the right fit.
Technical Skills: Strong JCT knowledge is essential. RICS accreditation is not a requirement-we value your practical track record over letters after your name.
Mindset: You are adaptable, motivated, and reliable. We are looking for someone who isn't "set in their ways" and is eager to grow with our evolving processes.
Location & Work Style
