We're working with a well-established civil engineering and earthworks contractor delivering projects across England, with values ranging from smaller specialist schemes through to major infrastructure projects. With a strong pipeline of framework work across the South East, they're looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
This is a key role within the frameworks division, supporting the delivery of civil engineering projects while ensuring strong commercial control and financial performance.

The Role

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects, working closely with operational teams, clients and the supply chain to ensure successful project delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the commercial management of projects and ensuring accurate financial reporting

Managing variations, claims and contractual notices in line with contract requirements

Preparing and reviewing contract documentation, cost reports and forecasts

Liaising with client commercial teams and subcontractors to support project delivery

Overseeing procurement planning and subcontractor management

Managing change control processes and monitoring project budgets

Preparing interim applications for payment and agreeing final accounts

Implementing value management and risk mitigation strategies

About You

Around 10+ years' commercial experience within civil engineering or infrastructure

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline

Strong understanding of NEC forms of contract

Experience working on highways or infrastructure projects is advantageous

Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills

Based in the South of England , with the ability to travel across South East project sites
