Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Salford (office-based with some remote working)

Contract: Full-time | Hours: 42 per week

Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 + £6.7k car allowance + private healthcare + benefits

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our rail team. You will be responsible for leading the commercial function on assigned projects, ensuring strong cost control, profitability, and compliance with company procedures and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead commercial management on multidisciplinary rail projects.

* Ensure projects deliver profitability at levels aligned with business targets.

* Take ownership of project cost controls, supporting and guiding site teams.

* Secure maximum sustainable value from contracts while ensuring fair subcontract settlements.

* Prepare and present monthly CVR and financial forecast reports.

About You

* Degree (BSc/MSc) in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.

* Proven experience as a Senior QS within rail or infrastructure projects.

* Strong knowledge of NEC contracts, particularly Target Cost.

* Commercially astute with strong cost control and negotiation skills.

* Confident in reporting and working with multidisciplinary teams.
