East Midlands

£85,000 + excellent benefits

A well-established Design & Build main contractor in the Midlands has secured a strong pipeline of work starting this spring and is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team.


Projects typically range up from £20 Million to £100 Million across a variety of sectors, offering a good mix of schemes. You won’t be pricing or managing the same type of project repeatedly—there’s enough diversity here to keep things engaging and commercially challenging.


What you’ll be doing


  • Leading the commercial management of a £30M project in the East Midlands
  • Procuring and managing subcontractors, including negotiation, and contract administration
  • Working closely with operational, design, and site teams to ensure commercial alignment
  • Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities early
  • Overseeing valuations, variations, cost reporting, and final accounts
  • Ensuring projects are delivered within budget while maintaining quality and programme targets

Requirements


  • Reside in the Midlands region
  • 10+ years’ experience in Design & Build, with strong commercial knowledge
  • Right to work in the UK
