Senior Career Opportunity – Quantity Surveyor

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a Coventry-based residential groundworks contractor. Due to sustained growth and a strong pipeline of secured and upcoming projects, the company is expanding its commercial leadership team and is seeking a high-calibre SQS to oversee and drive commercial performance across multiple sites.

This role offers senior-level responsibility, clear progression prospects, and the opportunity to play a key role in commercial strategy and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

-Lead commercial management across multiple groundwork projects
-Maximise contract profitability and control project costs
-Oversee and approve valuations, variations, and final accounts
-Prepare and review accurate monthly cost and value reports
-Provide commercial guidance to project and site teams
-Identify and implement value engineering opportunities
-Support and mentor junior commercial staff where required
-Manage all senior-level commercial and contractual duties associated with the role

Requirements

-Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within residential groundworks
-Strong contractual and commercial management expertise
-Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
-Excellent negotiation and value engineering capability
-Strong time management and leadership skills
-Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
-Excellent communication and reporting abilities
