A well-established and financially robust civil engineering contractor is expanding its commercial team and seeks an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead on key infrastructure and rail projects.This is a high-visibility role with commercial ownership from pre-contract through to final account, working closely with project leadership and senior stakeholders.Role OverviewAs a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will lead the commercial delivery of multiple construction and infrastructure projects. You'll be accountable for all aspects of cost control, contract administration and commercial strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesLead commercial management and reporting on complex civil engineering programmesManage contract administration including valuations, variations, claims and accountsProduce accurate cost forecasts, cashflows and commercial reportsMentor and support junior QS staff on the teamIdentify, quantify and mitigate commercial riskBuild strong relationships with clients, supply chain and internal project teamsDrive continuous improvement of commercial processesExperience & SkillsWe're looking for a candidate with a strong commercial track record in civil engineering or infrastructure.EssentialDegree/HND/HNC in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or equivalentSubstantial experience as a Senior/Lead Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering, infrastructure energy or railExcellent contract knowledge (JCT/NEC etc) and commercial awarenessStrong analytical, negotiation and communication skillsExperience mentoring junior commercial staffDesirableWorking towards or achieved chartered status (e.g., RICS / CICES)Apply TodayIf you're a Senior Quantity Surveyor seeking greater responsibility and the chance to influence commercial outcomes on major infrastructure projects, we'd like to hear from you.Send your CV or contact us for a confidential discussion.Aldwych Consulting values diversity and promotes equality.
