The business is privately owned and operates across Hampshire, Berkshire and Dorset with projects valuing up to £30mil. They work across a variety of sectors including private and public schools, commercial, social housing and care homes. As a result of a busy forward order book, they're now looking to expand the commercial team with an additional Senior Quantity Surveyor. About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor: As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be reporting into the Commercial Manager and will be responsible for managing one or two projects concurrently. Key Responsibilities as Senior Quantity Surveyor: Oversee the teams procurement / management of sub-contractor packagesDeal with final accounts / any dispute resolution that may ariseLiaise with the clients teams Mentor junior members of the Surveying team and be involved in their professional developmentKey Requirements for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role:Hold a BSc Quantity Surveying or HNCHave experience managing projects of sizeable value from pre-construction through to final account Be proficient in administering various forms of contract including JCT and NECMust live in a commutable location to Reading and be happy to visit office and site as requiredIn return you'll receive: Salary: Up to £85k + Package Company Car / Car Allowance Flexible working opportunity Business with a strong forward order bookThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced commercial professional to join an established main contractor with a busy pipeline of work and in a strong cash position.
