An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading multi-disciplinary rail team specialising in Signalling & Telecoms delivery across major UK infrastructure projects.

This role is ideal for someone who is commercially focused, enjoys working in a dynamic project environment, and wants to play a key role in driving successful outcomes on large-scale rail schemes.

Essential requirements

• Strong background as a Senior QS within a rail or major infrastructure environment
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying / Construction
• Excellent stakeholder communication and client-facing skills
• Confident decision-maker with strong problem-solving capability
• Ability to work independently under pressure to meet deadlines
• Ambitious mindset with a desire to grow and take on future leadership opportunities

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly commercial, contractual, financial and management reports
• Monitoring and interpreting BoQs, technical specifications and contractual obligations
• Managing commercial variations and supporting effective cost control
• Providing costing information and pricing minor works packages
• Supporting bid submissions, tender responses and commercial strategy
