Senior Quantity Surveyor (JPC-77)
Location: Hull, York, or Harrogate (Hybrid Working)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Role Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading multidisciplinary practice. You will lead and inspire a team of Quantity Surveyors, delivering construction projects with a focus on financial success, quality, and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of Quantity Surveyors, inspiring excellence.
Deliver high-quality Quantity Surveying services across diverse projects.
Oversee costs and finances at every stage of construction projects.
Assist with procurement and subcontractor management.
Ensure contractual compliance and liaise closely with project teams.
Maximise financial success through cost management, procurement, risk management, and value engineering.
Complete reinstatement cost assessments, budget costings, and feasibility estimates.
Support colleagues within the wider practice, contributing to a collaborative culture
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
Strong skills in cost control, bills of quantities, cost planning, and cost reporting.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Attention to detail with proven accuracy in reporting.
Strong communication, teamwork, and client management abilities.
Knowledge of building regulations, construction contracts, and contentious Quantity Surveying practices.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Full UK driving licence with access to own vehicle (business insurance required).
Living within commuting distance of Hull, York, or Harrogate.
Desirable:
Chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent.
