Job DescriptionDescription Following the recent acquisition of Littlewood Group, the largest independent fencing company in the UK, Network Plus is strengthening its commercial capability to support continued growth across its portfolio.

Littlewood Group brings a strong reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions, particularly within the MOD, MOJ and critical infrastructure and exposure to HS2 projects, with a focus on operational excellence, safety, and long-term client partnerships. This acquisition enhances Network Plus’ existing capabilities, creating a broader, more integrated service offering for clients across the UK.

As part of this growth, we are now looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor and Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in supporting the commercial success of these expanding operations.

\n\nOur Role

\nAs a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will support the Commercial Manager; helping to drive efficiencies; managing costs and regional performance for our clients. This role will see you take control of all financial aspects of the project, overseeing all commercial & contractual matters. You will deliver desired margin return utilising high standards of commercial acumen. Whilst identifying, recording and tracking, both risks and opportunities.

\n Key Responsibilities

\n Monitoring project expenditure against tender figures and also value recovery. \n

Identifying and dealing with change, including maximising opportunity. \n

Following contractual procedures and ensuring that correct notices are given. \n

Ensuring that correct records (i.e. allocation sheets etc.) are being maintained on all contracts. \n

Preparing applications and keeping records of amounts applied for on each contract. \n

Tracking payments received and following up on payment shortfalls. \n

Understanding the scope of works on each contract. \n

Pricing of additional and varied works on contracts. \n

Discussing and negotiating final accounts with clients. \n

Monthly reporting. \n

Reading and analysing contracts for onerous or unusual provisions and relaying details/obligations to operational team. \n

Collating and managing work pipeline and status of existing contracts. \n

Generally providing commercial support and advice to colleagues. \n

Undertaking any other tasks advised by your line manager to perform your duties. \n

Experience and Qualifications

\n Commercial experience in a construction business environment. \n

Experience of working with estimating and/or contract management teams. \n

Ability to effectively communicate with and relate to clients and office staff at all levels (in writing and orally). \n

Strong numeracy skills and comfort with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint to produce clear and concise reports for clients and staff. \n

Ability to work independently or as part of a team and manage time effectively. \n
