Senior Quantity Surveyor

Main Contractor – Modular Construction – Residential Division

Salary: £50,000 – £90,000 plus package (depending on experience)

An established and growing main contractor specialising in modular construction is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Residential division on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a forward-thinking business delivering high-quality modular residential schemes across London and the South East.

The Role

You will take full commercial responsibility for modular residential projects from pre-contract through to final account. Projects may include apartments, mixed-use residential schemes, and high-density urban developments. You will work closely with project, design, and manufacturing teams to ensure strong commercial control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Full commercial management of modular residential projects

• Cost planning, forecasting, and CVR reporting

• Procurement and management of subcontract and supply chain packages

• Change control, variations, and client valuations

• Final accounts and financial close-out

• Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff where required

• Close collaboration with construction, design, and offsite manufacturing teams

About You

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor

• Background in residential projects such as apartments, housing schemes, or mixed-use developments

• Experience with modular, MMC, or offsite construction is advantageous but not essential

• Strong knowledge of design and build contracts

• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder and client management skills
