Job Description
Senior Quantity Surveyor\n\nLeicestershire\n\n6 Month Contract\n\n£500 - £550 per day\n\nINSIDE SCOPE OF IR35\n\nWe are recruiting on behalf of a tier one contractor, a Senior Quantity Surveyor based in Leicester with hybrid working available. \n \nYou will report directly to the Managing Quantity Surveyor and you will be expected to take responsibility for the Commercial Management of Project(s). \n \nKey responsibilities will include: \n \n- Quantity surveying duties in respect of managing projects and work packages \n- Liaise with design, construction and supply chain teams to capture, analyse and control cost \n- Collaborative work with the client to ensure business requirements are met \n- Manage the main contract ensuring contractual notices and correspondence are identified and raised as necessary \n- Preparation and issue of subcontract documentation \n- Assist in the management and performance of subcontractors \n- Manage the preparation and agreement of applications for payment \n- The preparation of project cost & value reports, budgets and forecasts.
\n- Assist in the management and development of junior commercial staff \n- Ensure your own continuous professional development by participating in external networking/conferences/associations/groups, to stay current on industry changes and innovations. \n- Maintain a positive and solution oriented approach to work, providing open and honest feedback. \n- Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role \n- Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality \n \nEssential \n \nPreviously worked within the water sector\nDegree or equivalent \nWorking towards or have chartered membership of a recognised institution \nExperience in utilities/civil engineering/MEICA sectors \nNEC3 Experience \n \nDesirable \n \nExperience of managing and developing an individual or small team \n \nPlease contact Harry Sharrard in Birmingham on (phone number removed) or via LinkedIn
