Job Description
Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on major energy projects across Yorkshire.\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially-minded QS to play a key role in the delivery of sustainable infrastructure initiatives.\n\nAbout the Role:\n In this role, you will be responsible for the full commercial management of projects, including:\n\nPreparing and managing budgets, cost plans, and forecasts\nManaging subcontractor and supplier contracts\nConducting value engineering, risk assessments, and change management\nProviding strategic commercial advice to the project team and senior stakeholders\nEnsuring compliance with company and client proceduresYou will be working on high-profile green energy infrastructure projects, contributing directly to the region's sustainable energy goals, while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and senior client representatives.\n\nCandidate Requirements:\n\nProven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on large-scale infrastructure or energy projects\nStrong knowledge of commercial and contract management, including NEC or JCT contracts\nExcellent cost reporting, forecasting, and negotiation skills\nAbility to manage multiple projects and stakeholders\nWillingness to spend 2-3 days per week on siteIf you are a proactive, commercially focused Senior QS looking to make a real impact in the energy sector, this is an exciting opportunity to join a team shaping Yorkshire's energy future.\n\nApply: Contact Hayley Woodruff on (phone number removed) or apply with your CV to \n\nBuilding Careers UK specialises in Construction and Property recruitment and serves as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
