Senior Quantity Surveyor / Associate – Civil Engineering & Nuclear
Location: Hybrid (with travel to a London hub)
Salary: £60,000 – £90,000, depending on experience
Employment Type: Permanent
Overview
A UK-based construction consultancy is seeking experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors and Associate level individual to support a major civil engineering and nuclear infrastructure programme. These roles are suited to commercially focused professionals with a track record of delivering complex infrastructure projects in a consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead commercial management for a project section or major workstream Prepare, analyse, and present Earned Value data Oversee procurement processes and manage supplier performance Produce accurate financial and performance reports Support value engineering and risk mitigation strategies Manage contract administration, particularly under NEC target cost frameworks Lead change control, dispute resolution, and commercial governance Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members Engage with clients and project stakeholders effectively
Requirements
Demonstrable experience on complex civil engineering or nuclear infrastructure projects Strong understanding of NEC contracts and target cost management Chartered status with RICS, ICES, CIOB or equivalent Experience leading commercial teams and delivering structured reporting Able to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment Confident in stakeholder engagement and contractual negotiations
Additional Information
Hybrid working model with flexibility on location, subject to London travel Roles fall within a salary range of £60,000 - £90,000 depending on experience All roles are on a permanent basis; no freelance or contractor options available
