Senior Quantity Surveyor - Cambridge\n\n£75,000-£90,000 + benefits\n Full-Time | Construction & Delivery\n\nAre you a driven and experienced Quantity Surveyor ready to step up into a senior role on major projects in the Cambridge area and beyond? We're hiring a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a highly respected, long-established construction and development group with a strong regional presence and reach.\n\nAbout the Company\n\nThis organisation is one of the UK's most successful privately-owned construction and development businesses, with over 100 years of heritage and a reputation for delivering high-quality build programmes across a broad range of sectors, including commercial, life sciences, education, and innovation campuses. They've recently strengthened their regional footprint with a dedicated office in Cambridge and continue to secure significant commissions, including major science and innovation schemes across the UK.\n\nYou'll be joining an organisation that values long-term client relationships, fosters collaborative delivery, and places emphasis on continuous learning and professional development.\n\nRole Overview\n\nAs Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will:\n\nLead commercial and contractual management across key projects,\n\nProvide strategic cost advice, risk analysis and value engineering,\n\nManage and mentor QS team members and act as a key interface with clients and supply chain partners,\n\nDrive commercial performance from pre-contract through to final account,\n\nChampion best practice in reporting, commercial control and governance.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\nEssential:\n\nProven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on complex construction projects (typically >£50m),\n\nContractual expertise and strong commercial acumen,\n\nExcellent communication and leadership skills.\n\nDesirable:\n\nDegree or equivalent educational background in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related discipline,\n\nProfessional accreditation (e.g., RICS or similar),\n\nExperience across both public and private sector delivery.\n\nWe're open to strong candidates with non-traditional backgrounds who demonstrate the right skills, attitude and potential for progression.\n\nWhy This Role?\n\nCompetitive salary (£75,000-£90,000),\n\nOpportunity to work on high-profile and technically challenging schemes,\n\nCareer progression and development in a growing regional team,\n\nCollaborative culture with a strong focus on quality and sustainability
