Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Bristol (Projects across the South West)

About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a highly successful, award-winning contractor delivering complex construction projects across the Bristol region.
With a strong reputation in the industry and an annual turnover of circa £150 million, this rapidly growing business specialises in defence, high-tech, and specialist refurbishment schemes, offering long-term career progression and stability.
This is a key commercial role, ideal for a driven Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to work on innovative, technically challenging projects within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account
*
Prepare, manage, and report on project budgets and cost plans
*
Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and account settlement
*
Ensure effective cost control, risk management, and value engineering
*
Work closely with project managers and site teams to drive project success
*
Prepare valuations, variations, and final accounts
*
Provide accurate financial reporting and forecasting
Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
*
Strong background delivering defence, commercial, or high-tech projects (new build and refurbishment)
*
Excellent knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts
*
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
*
Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively
*
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
