Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay is currently seeking applicants for Senior manager of SQM

Job Location: The position will be filled within our Vishay offices in Newport, UK.

What You Will Be Doing

• Designing, maintaining and improving supplier related quality requirements, specifications and concepts.
• Audit suppliers using a VDA6.3 framework
• Evaluating and approving suppliers and negotiating and agreeing on product or service requirements and specifications, or subsequent quality assurance processes for implementation.
• Planning and executing technical supplier audits including follow-up of audit measures.
• Driving supplier's continuous improvement and collaborating in supplier development programs.
• Implementing complaints managements to detect non-conformances at an early stage.
• Deputise for Quality Director as required, covering QMS and Customer Support.
• Process Fab and / or Semiconductor knowledge highly desirable

What You Will Bring Along

o At least 10 years’ experience at Senior level in an advanced Quality Engineering environment

o Engineering knowledge from an advanced sector, semiconductor, automotive aerospace or

medical

o Educated to Degree level or equivalent

o ISO9001 Lead auditor certified

o IATF16949 auditor experience

o Supplier auditor experience

o Knowledge and practical experience of Quality Tools including APQP FMEA, 5S, 8D, MSA and SPC

o Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams, when required

o 8D facilitator / problem solver

o Excellent communication skills

o Excellent negotiation skills

o Supplier facing experience and competency

o Zero Defect Mindset

o IT literate: Word / PPT / Excel / other QMS systems

o System and process thinker

o Willingness to travel with UK / Europe and international

Desirable requirements

o Deep Semiconductor process technology knowledge

o VDA 6.3 automotive auditor
