Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a £50 million high-profile construction project in the heart of Cardiff city centre. This is a flagship scheme for a key client and will play a major role in the continued regeneration of the city.

The successful candidate will take full ownership of the project from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Overall responsibility for the successful delivery of a £50m construction project

*

Managing the project lifecycle from design coordination and procurement through to handover

*

Leading and motivating site and project teams, including subcontractors and consultants

*

Maintaining strong client relationships and acting as the primary point of contact

*

Managing programme, cost control, risk, and change management processes

*

Ensuring full compliance with HSEQ standards and company procedures

*

Chairing progress meetings and providing accurate reporting to senior stakeholders

Requirements

*

Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager on large-scale construction projects (£30m+)

*

Strong background in commercial or mixed-use construction

*

Demonstrable experience delivering projects in live or city centre environments

*

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

*

Strong understanding of construction contracts, programming, and cost control

*

SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and relevant construction qualifications preferred
